From Rent to Plant: Leasys announces a new partnership with Treedom to reduce its footprint.

Leasys announces a new partnership with Treedom, the first platform that allows stakeholders to plant trees at a distance and follow the project online.

Leasys inaugurates the spring season with a sustainable mindset, forging a new partnership with Treedom, the first platform that allows stakeholders to plant trees at a distance and follow the story of the project online. The collaboration, entitled “From Rent to Plant”, between Leasys, leading player in multi-brand operational leasing, and Treedom, enforces positive and sustainable practices in improving environmental impact.

"From Rent to Plant" is a particularly interesting project for business customers who know that by choosing Leasys for their fleet management, they are contributing to positive environmental and social outcomes in several regions of the world, and for the company itself that, through this initiative, is reducing its carbon footprint and inspiring sustainable change. From the beginning of the partnership, Leasys has planted forests with Treedom for a total of 3.650 trees across ten countries: Haiti, Nepal, Cameroon, Madagascar, Kenya, Guatemala, Colombia, Tanzania, Ecuador, and Dominican Republic. The trees planted in each forest can be viewed and located using an interactive map on the Treedom website and the Leasys corporate website. Leasys largest forest currently is “Leasys Group Forest”, that counts 2.150 trees. Moreover, the partnership encompasses the cultivation of different types of trees for some of Leasys’ biggest customers such as Equans and Delta Cafés with the purpose of being an example for other companies that want to manage their carbon footprint.

Through its forests, Leasys contributed to the absorption of 844.78 tons of C02, and the company is planning to renew its commitment by planting new trees over the coming months.

As a multinational operating in the mobility sector, Leasys has set the ambitious goal that 50% of its new contracts will involve electrified vehicles by 2026, in line with the transition towards a more sustainable mobility future. The partnership with Treedom is another step forward in the fight against climate change, a relevant topic for Leasys which wants to contribute to global carbon neutrality.
